The crisp 1.5-liter turbo is responsive and matches the eight-speed auto well. The large amount of torque pushes you down the road and makes overtaking much less dramatic than a 1.5-liter three-cylinder is allowed.

The Active marks a black coating, a higher ride height and smaller diameter wheels.

Ford’s European-branded fast steering is also featured, allowing you to squeeze in and out of spaces with a quick flick of the wrist, which has the added benefit of meaning you rarely have to take your hands off the wheel. to twirl. This dart is helped and encouraged by the engine and gearbox, the turbo apparently keeping the boost with little delay. It’s almost like they planned it that way.

You have good vision in all directions, which makes it almost acceptable that blind spot monitoring is optional. Almost. It is very easy to get around, to park and, just as important, to get in and out with ease. Compared to, say, a Toyota Corolla, the rear doors are very accommodating.
