From footage shared by Sams Disney Diary, it looks like the boat has derailed near the last scene of the ride, where guests see Jack Sparrow sitting surrounded by gold and treasure.

It appears that no one was seriously injured. At this time, we don’t know what derailed the boat, but Inside the Magic will keep you posted as soon as we have any information.

Learn more about Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean is considered a classic attraction of Disney parks. In case you never had the chance to ride it, the Disney World official website describes this classic attraction as:

Climb aboard a weathered houseboat for a treacherous journey back to the 17th century, when rowdy thugs and ruthless scoundrels plundered Caribbean port towns. Sing along as the pirates serenade you with their hymn, “Yo Ho, Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life For Me)”.

Walk past Haunted Dead Man’s Cove. Navigate cannon between a Caribbean fort and an impressive 12-cannon galleon. See loud buccaneers drunk with plunder as flames engulf a seaside town.

Make sure to keep an eye out for Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Beware, gentlemen: dead men don’t tell stories!
