In the context of the digitization of the health sector in Luxembourg, the Association of Physicians and Dentists (AMMD) and the National Health Fund (CNS) have published official applications.
In a statement released Friday evening, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Security announced that the management of the eHealth agency will hold a meeting next week to discuss any unresolved issues. The announcement comes after the AMMD warned of “serious malfunctions” earlier this week.
In the context of the digitization of the health sector in Luxembourg, the AMMD and the CNS have published mobile applications, which, for example, allow patients to obtain faster reimbursement of their medical bills. However, AMMD said cooperation with the eSanté agency has been “difficult”. Doctors accuse the agency of not putting enough emphasis on data protection, especially due to the agency’s refusal to work with electronic signatures.
According to the press release on Friday, the ministries asked the Government Information Center (CTIE) to analyze the solution proposed by the AMMD. In addition, the CNS has requested an external report on the matter. Once these results are available, departments will make other decisions.
