The Dacia Duster received a slight facelift for 2021, with the affordable family SUV now available to order.
Starting at £ 13,995, here’s everything you need to know about the changes.
Dacia Duster exterior
While the overall appearance of the car hasn’t changed much, there are a number of tweaks that align it with the brand’s Sandero lineup, which recently underwent a major overhaul.
Up front there is a new set of headlights that incorporate a different design of daytime running lights and indicators. This is also reflected in the rear lights, with a design mirroring the front.
On the side you will find that the silhouette is unchanged, but new 16 inch and 17 inch alloy wheels are offered depending on the specification you are looking for. Three finishes are available – Essential, Comfort and Prestige.
Interior and technology Dacia Duster
On the infotainment side, things have accelerated. Here are two systems on offer, both featuring a redesigned 8-inch touchscreen interface.
Both systems are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auti, while Prestige models introduce satellite navigation function and wireless connectivity for mirroring smartphones.
On four-wheel drive versions, the screen includes a Vehicle tab that allows you to monitor off-road specific information.
Items such as automatic high beam activation and cruise control are standard equipment. Automatic climate control and heated front seats are optional on premium models.
Speaking of seats, the new car‘s upholstery has been redesigned, while other changes include a taller center console and wider armrest.
Dacia Duster transmissions
The biggest talking point here is the addition of a six-speed automatic transmission option – something Dacia customers have requested in the past. It is fitted as standard with a 150 hp petrol engine.
More basic models can be fitted with a 1.0-liter or 1.3-liter petrol unit, which produce 90 hp and 130 hp respectively. The 115 hp diesel unit also remains available and can be fitted with the impressive four-wheel drive system.
A dual-fuel engine is also available, which adds an LPG tank and increases range to over 150 miles. At the wheel, the fuel change is immediate and imperceptible. The new petrol-LPG switch, more ergonomic and better integrated, can be operated manually by the driver at any time.
Dacia Duster price, rental plans and release date
The Duster range is priced at just £ 13,995, rising to £ 14,265 and £ 13,825 depending on what level of trim you want. It’s available to order right now, so expect rental plans to be available very soon.
