Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled onboard entertainment and experiences available on its new 3,300-passenger Norwegian Prima. The ship is the first of six ships in Norwegian’s new Prima Class and debuted with record sales when it was announced in May 2021.
The Prima will feature many elevated onboard experiences when it departs in the summer of 2022, including the world’s first venue that transforms from a three-story theater to a Vegas-style nightclub, free-falling dry slides and the largest racetrack at sea.

1. Donna Summer Musical headlining
Norwegian Prima will headlining “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical”.
“Summer: The Donna Summer Musical” is a story of Donna Summer’s rise from young starlet to “disco queen”. Created by the production team who brought in “Jersey Boys”, currently airing on Norwegian Bliss, the show will feature over 20 Summer hits, including “Bad Girls”, “Last Dance” and “Hot Stuff”.
The 75-minute immersive production will be a first at sea where the theater transforms into a full-fledged nightclub and guests can be part of the show and dance to Summer songs.
2. Multipurpose entertainment room
All of Norwegian Prima’s headliners, including some of the new onboard experiences, will be featured at the Prima Theater and Nightclub. The three-story room, designed to seamlessly convert the space of a performance stage into a sprawling dance floor, will feature a customizable seating arrangement and a movable LED screen that lowers from the ceiling and measures close to the floor. half the size of the room.
The SENSORIA theme will provide club goers with an experience where they can dance late into the night and enjoy a kaleidoscope of energetic music and innovative special effects.
3. Real-life interactive game show extravaganza

These immersive productions – powered by Fremantle Mediat – transform the Prima Theater and Nightclub into a large production set, where guests can participate in game shows, including:
• “The Price is Right LIVE on NCL” where guests can bid to participate in pricing games and have the opportunity to spin the wheel for a chance to win in the showdown;
• “Supermarket Sweep LIVE on NCL” will transform the Prima Theater and Nightclub into a full-scale grocery store, where teams of competitors will roam the aisles in a fast-paced game show of questions, product knowledge and speed;
• “Beat the Clock LIVE on NCL” is a team competition game where guests will need luck, speed and strategy to complete fun time trial challenges.
4. Go-Karts at sea
Norwegian, the only cruise line to offer go-karts at sea, will raise the bar on Norwegian Prima. The ship will offer the world’s largest and first three-level racing circuit with the Prima Speedway.
With a longer straight with a racing track 420 meters long and 22% larger than Norwegian Encore’s current track, the racing track will now circle and through the ship’s funnel with 14 turns. Fifteen pilots will be able to run simultaneously on the high seas, reaching speeds of over 50 kilometers per hour.
Once the runners have finished their race, they can relax at the new Prima Speedway Bar located under the circuit.
5. Slide dry
Norwegian Prima will present Drop, the world’s first free-falling dry slide where users will experience a 10-story plunge reaching the highest G-forces of any cruise line – more G than an accelerating F1 racing car .
The experience takes a competitive turn with The rush, with dry dueling slides where guests can compete.
6. Virtual games
The brand’s indoor virtual game complex, The Galaxy Pavilion, levels up on the Prima to offer guests 14 attractions to choose from. These include four new hyper-immersive simulation experiences only available on the Prima, two escape rooms and a Topgolf Swing Suite, showcasing the only Topgolf Swing Suite available at sea.
The Topgolf Swing Suite offers an immersive gaming and social experience, with a variety of Topgolf games, virtual golf courses and multi-player games. The sequel is powered by Full Swing Golf Simulator technology, the same simulator used by PGA Tour pros such as Tiger Woods and Jon Rahm.
7. The bull’s eye
Norwegian Prima will launch additional new activities for guests of all ages with Bull’s eye – a high version of the classic darts game with a video tracking system that automatically calculates the score of each guest and offers instant game replays.
Norwegian Prima will debut at Tee Time – a supercharged version of mini golf, where guests can enjoy nine interactive holes in a Vegas-style setting, as well as win prizes.
9. New water slide
Making her first appearance on Norwegian Prima as part of the ship’s water park and main pool will be the brand’s first Tidal Wave waterslide where guests can ride an inner tube to catch the “perfect wave.”
10. Upgraded beach club for adults only
The Vibe Beach Club, Norwegian’s adults-only space, returns to Norwegian Prima and offers enhanced experiences, including a dedicated bar and two infinity hot tubs.
